addressing community-wide issues. We hope to see you there!

Annual Yard Sale
When: Saturday, June 19th, 2010 8:00AM-12 Noon
Where: All throughout the community, in your driveways...
The annual yard sale is your opportunity to blow the dust off of many things
you don't need, get a few bucks for them, get them out of your house, and into
the hands of someone who can use them. Traditionally the yard sale is held rain
or shine -- let's hope for some shine! Ads have been placed in the local newspapers
alerting area yard-salers that we are selling. We recommend the following:
- Put low but reasonable prices on items. After all, the last thing you want
to do is to move the leftovers back into your house!
- You might want to have spare change and small bills available for making change.
- Don't be afraid to haggle!
- Have someone available to keep an eye on things if you need to run inside for a few minutes.
- We suggest you have tarps or other covers available to throw over your items if a storm squall sweeps through.
- A hand-written sign indicating that you have items to sell placed on the main
through streets may help direct attention to your yard if you live in a
cul-de-sac or your house is not highly visible.
- If it's a hot day, make some extra money by having cold sodas and water on ice
in a cooler available for thirsty yard salers.
- The bargain-hunters always come out early to find the treasures.
