Meetings

The HOA Board of Directors meets on the second Tuesday of each month.  Residents are welcome.  Since meeting times and locations may vary, contact ProCom to confirm time and location.

Biographies

Karen DeFazio, President

Karen, her husband, Bob, and their Jack Russell, Rusty, have lived in Glen Allen since 1991. She and Bob have recently retired; she as head of IT training at the US Census Bureau and Bob as a flight dynamics engineer with NASA/Goddard. In addition to her duties as President of the Glen Allen Board of Directors, she, along with Bob, is co-editor of the community's newsletter, News from the Glen. She is also an elder and choir member at Hope Presbyterian Church in Mitchellville and is interested in archeology.

Charlie Brown, Vice-President

Charles has lived in Glen Allen since April 1995. After retiring from the telecommunications industry with over 40 years of service, Charles remains active as the Commander of the Reserve Corps Division in the Metropolitan Police Department, as chair of the Crime Committee in the Prince Georges County Police Department District II Citizens Advisory Council, and the Secretary/Treasurer of the Brain Injury Support Group in Princes Georges Hospital Center. In addition to his vice presidential duties on Glen Allen's Board of Directors, he chairs the Architectural Review Committee. He is widowed with seven adult children and seven grandchildren.

Albert Curley II, Secretary

Al is a native Kansan who retired in 2006 after 37 years service in the Department of State's Foreign Service. He and his wife Susan, moved to Glen Allen in 2000. The Curley's have 5 children and 8 Grandchildren. Al is also the President of the Curley-Wells Chapter of the 9th and 10th (Horse) Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers Association.

Cary Hithon, Treasurer

Cary is a native Marylander from Anne Arundel County. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1977 and spent 26 years in the Navy. He retired in 2004 at the rank of Captain. He is currently employed by Computer Sciences Corporation as a Senior Engineering Consultant. He is also the Chair of Glen Allen's Finance Committee. His wife's name is Sherry and they have two daughters, Cariann and Rachel.

Dorothy Morrison, Member at Large

Dorothy moved to the Glen Allen community in 2002 and has been a Bowie resident since 1993, with husband Ricky and two adorable sons, Akin and Deji. Dorothy enjoys gardening and learning about holistic approaches to health and well-being. Currently she is serving as Glen Allen's Board Member At-large. She is employed with the Maryland Department of Environment as Director of Environmental Justice. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a Masters degree in Environmental Management and a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences.
